God's 26 Guards
********************************************************
Have you ever felt the urge to pray for someone and Then just put it on a list and said, 'I'll pray for them later'?
Or has anyone ever called you and said, 'I need you to pray for me, I have this need?'
Read the following story that was sent to me and May it change the way that you may think about prayer and also the way you pray. You will be blessed by this....
A missionary on furlough told this true story while Visiting his home church in Michigan . 'While serving at a small field hospital in Africa , Every two weeks I traveled by bicycle Through the jungle to a nearby city for supplies. This was a journey of two days and Required camping overnight at the halfway point.
On one of these journeys, I arrived in the city Where I planned to collect money from a bank, Purchase medicine, and supplies, and then begin My two-day journey back to the field hospital.
Upon arrival in the city, I observed two men fighting, One of whom had been seriously injured. I treated him for his injuries and at the same time Talked to him about the Lord.
I then traveled two days, camping overnight, and Arrived home without incident....
Two weeks later I repeated my journey. Upon arriving in the city, I was approached by the young man I had treated. He told me that he had known I carried Money and medicines. He said, 'Some friends and I followed you in to the jungle, Knowing you would camp overnight. We planned to kill you and take your money and drugs But just as we were about to move into your camp, We saw that you were surrounded by 26 armed guards.
At this, I laughed and said that I was Certainly all alone in that jungle campsite.. The young man pressed the point, however, and said, 'No, sir, I was not the only person to see the guards, My friends also saw them, and we all counted them. It was because of those guards that We were afraid and left you alone.'
At this point in the sermon, One of the men in the congregation jumped to his feet and interrupted the missionary and asked if he could tell him the exact day this happened. The missionary told the congregation the date, and The man who interrupted told him this story:
'On the night of your incident in Africa , It was morning here and I was preparing to go play golf... I was about to putt when I felt the urge to pray for you. In fact, the urging of the Lord was so strong, I called men in this church to meet with me here In the sanctuary to pray for you.
Would all of those men who met with me on that day stand up?' The men who had met together to pray that day stood up. The missionary wasn't concerned with whom they were, He was too busy counting how many men he saw.
There were 26.
This story is an incredible example of how the Spirit of the Lord moves in behalf of those who love Him. If you ever feel such prodding to pray, go along with it, you don't know what it can mean to that person.
Nothing is ever hurt by prayer except the gates of hell. I encourage you to forward this to as many people as you know. If we all take it to heart, We can turn this world toward God once again. As the above true story clearly illustrates, 'With God all things are possible'.
More importantly, how God hears and Answers the prayers of the faithful. After you read this, please pass it on and Give God thanks for the beautiful gift of your faith, For the powerful gift of prayer, and for the many miracles He works in your own daily life... And then pass it on.
I asked the Lord to bless you as I prayed for you today. To guide you and protect you as you go along your way. His love is always with you, His promises are true, and when we give Him our cares you know He will see us through So when the road you're traveling on seems difficult, Just remember I'm here praying, and God will do the rest.
I Can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13
Yours in Christ,
Andrew

Breakfast at McDonald's
********************************************************************************

This is a good story and is true, please read it all the way through until the end! (After the story, there are some very interesting facts!):

I am a mother of three (ages 14, 12, 3) and have recently completed my college degree.

The last class I had to take was Sociology.

The teacher was absolutely inspiring with the qualities that I wish every human being had been graced with.

Her last project of the term was called, 'Smile.'

The class was asked to go out and smile at three people and document their reactions.

I am a very friendly person and always smile at everyone and say hello anyway. So I thought this would be a piece of cake.

Soon after we were assigned the project, my husband, youngest son, and I went out to McDonald's one crisp March morning.

It was just our way of sharing special playtime with our son.

We were standing in line, waiting to be served, when all of a sudden everyone around us began to back away, and then
even my husband did.

I did not move an inch... an overwhelming feeling of panic welled up inside me as I turned to see why they had moved.

As I turned around I smelled a horrible 'dirty body' smell, and there standing behind me were two poor homeless men.

As I looked down at the short gentleman, close to me, he was 'smiling'.

His beautiful sky blue eyes were full of God's Light as he searched for acceptance.

He said, 'Good day' as he counted the few coins he had been clutching.

The second man fumbled with his hands as he stood behind his friend. I realized the second man was mentally challenged and the blue-eyed gentleman was his salvation.

I held my tears as I stood there with them.

The young lady at the counter asked him what they wanted.

He said, 'Coffee is all Miss' because that was all they could afford. (If they wanted to sit in the restaurant and warm up, they had to buy something. He just wanted to be warm).

Then I really felt it - the compulsion was so great I almost reached out and embraced the little man with the blue eyes.

That is when I noticed all eyes in the restaurant were set on me, judging my every action.

I smiled and asked the young lady behind the counter to give me two more breakfast meals on a separate tray.

I then walked around the corner to the table that the men had chosen as a resting spot. I put the tray on the table and laid my hand on the blue-eyed gentleman's cold hand.

He looked up at me, with tears in his eyes, and said, 'Thank you.'

I leaned over, began to pat his hand and said, 'I did not do this for you. God is here working through me to give you hope.'

I started to cry as I walked away to join my husband and son. When I sat down my husband smiled at me and said, 'That is why God gave you to me, Honey, to give me hope.'

We held hands for a moment and at that time, we knew that only because of the Grace that we had been given were we able to give.

We are not church goers, but we are believers.

That day showed me the pure Light of God's sweet love.

I returned to college, on the last evening of class, with this story in hand.

I turned in 'my project' and the instructor read it.

Then she looked up at me and said, 'Can I share this?'

I slowly nodded as she got the attention of the class.

She began to read and that is when I knew that we as human beings and being part of God share this need to heal people and to be healed.

In my own way I had touched the people at McDonald's, my son, instructor, and every soul that shared the classroom on the last night I spent as a college student.

I graduated with one of the biggest lessons I would ever learn:

UNCONDITIONAL ACCEPTANCE.
***********************************************************************************
I find this story very touching and worthy of sharing... Hope we will also act like the lady in the story, to be difference from others, to shine God's light and His love... To accept those who are not accepted by the world... Let us make a difference for God as we are called by Him to be difference and not belonging to the world but to Him...
Yours in Christ,
Andrew

Story of the FootPrints
**************************************************************************************
One night I had a dream.
I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord.
Across the sky flashed scenes from my life.
For each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand;
one belonged to me, and the other to the Lord.
When the last scene of my life flashed before me,
I looked back at the footprints in the sand.
And noticed that many times along the path
of my life there was only one set of footprints.
I also noticed that it happened at the very lowest
and saddest times in my life.
This really bothered me and I questioned the Lord about it.
"Lord, you said that once I decided to follow you,
you'd walk with me all the way.
But I have noticed that at the worst times in my life,
there is only one set of footprints.
How could you leave me when I needed you the most?
"The Lord replied " My precious, precious child,
I love you and would never leave you.
During your times of suffering and when you see only one set of footprints,
it was then that I carried you."

************************************************************************************

Hi all, even though this is a story that i came to know for years... But everytime i read it, i am always deeply touched by it... So touch by God and His promise, to carry us when we are at the very lowest point of our life... Times of discouragement, disappointment and sadness , He promise that He will always be there to carry us through...

Oh heavenly Father, I just want to thank You for this LOVE !
