Dear all,

This story about "Faith" is a story of love, encouragement and perseverance. This is a great story about how adverse circumstances can be overcome. I enjoyed the story very much so I thought I should share the story with you.

*********************************************************************************
This is 'Faith'

This dog was born on Christmas Eve in the year 2002. He was born with 3 legs - 2 healthy hind legs and 1 abnormal front leg which needed to be amputated. He of course could not walk when he was born. Even his mother did not want him and tried to smother him.
His first owner also did not think that he can survive. Therefore, he was thinking of 'putting him to sleep'. By this time, his present owner, Jude Stringfellow, met him and wanted to take care of him. She is determined to teach and train this dog to walk by himself. Therefore she named him 'Faith'

In the beginning, she put Faith on a surfing board to let him feel the movements. Later she used peanut butter on a spoon as a lure and reward for him to stand up and jump around. Even the other dog at home also helped to encourage him to walk. Amazingly, only after 6 months, like a miracle, Faith learned to balance on his 2 hind legs and jumped to move forward. After further training in the snow, he now can walk like a human being.

Faith loves to walk around now. No matter where he goes, he just attracts all the people around him. He is now becoming famous on the international scene. He has appeared on various newspapers and TV shows. There is even one book entitled 'With a little faith' being published about him. He was even considered to appear in one of Harry Potter movies.

His present owner Jude Stringfellow has given up her teaching post and plans to take him around the world to preach that even without a perfect body, one can have a perfect soul'.

In life there are always undesirable things. Perhaps one will feel better if one changes the point of view from another direction. I hope this message will bring fresh new ways of thinking to everyone and that everyone can appreciate and be thankful for each beautiful day that follows.

Faith is the continual demonstration of the Strength of Life
All you are asked to do is keep
This circulating.
Even If it's to one more person.
God bless all,
Andrew

Dear all,
As I looked through my email today, I found a very interesting prayer...
Here to share this little prayer ^^

******************************************************************************
Dear Lord,
Every single evening
As I'm lying here in bed,
This tiny little Prayer
Keeps running through my head:

God bless all my family
Wherever they may be,
Keep them warmand safe from harm
For they're so close to me.

And God, there is one more thing
I wish that you could do;
Hope you don't mind me asking,
Please bless my computer too.

Now I know that it's unusual
To Bless a motherboard,
But listen just a second
While I explain it to you, Lord.

You see, that little metal box
Holds more than odds and ends;
Inside those small compartments
Rest so many of my friends.

I know so much about them
By the kindness that they give,
And this little scrap of metal
Takes me in to where they live.

Please take an extra minute
From your duties up above,
To bless those in my address book
That's filled with so much love.

Wherever else this prayer may reach
To each and every friend,
Bless each e-mail inbox
And each person who hits 'send'.

When you update your Heavenly list
On your own Great CD-ROM,
Bless everyone who says this prayer
Sent up to GOD.com
Amen

God Bless All,
Andrew

HEY PEOPLE!!
Guess who's here to blog? =}
Well, the only reason i'm here is caused the people said the first person to catch a fish gets to blog.
So here i am!! =P
Well, this fishing trip wasn't as fun as the first one in my opinion =/
But its still good overall =D

Well we went there after the chinese service.
First went to NTUC somewhere near east coast to buy bait.
Then hopped on to Nic's parent's Chevy and drove down to Bedok Jetty.
( really, literally 'hopped' on to the car. it packed 8passangers! gosh! )
After setting up the rods, we began fishing!!
I was the first to catch one. ( thats why i'm here now )
Awhile later, Nic's dad caught one. ( the biggest throughout the day)
Next, Andrew hooked one up. ( not catch, hook. )
Hours passed, and our prawns turned orange under the hot sun O.O
Well thats pretty much it.
We continued to cast our rods in hope of catching something, except sam who gave up. =/
More hours passed, and everyone was tired.
So we packed up and left.
Went to the toliet to clean up, then started the long walk.
After all the walking super long, we got on the bus and starting eating pringles.
We found out tat Salt And Pepper Pringles is VERY NICE.
On the bus, Sam and Nic played their psp...
We joked...
We sang =X
Then it was our stop =D
We got off and after some more walking -.-
We reached Carl's Jr =DDD
After the meal, we left for home bloated =X
All in all, a good fishing day for us. =}

Hmm... We should organise a youth fishing trip during the June Holidays.
Then more people will be able to join us and have lots of fun XD
This time not many photos were taken for some reason =/
But no worries!
Knowing i had to blog, i took some photos =D

The Sky =D

The Sky again, plus my rod XD

A Rainbow O_O ( its a little hard to see)

A Rainbow plus Someone's Rod (its even harder to see now D=<)

Everyone!! Frontal View!! ( sorry its quite blur =/)

Everybody!! Back View! ( well atleast this is alittle better =P)

Well the reason for the distorted pictures are
1. everybody was moving
2. my phone had some problems taking their photo =(
3. my own shaky hand -.-
4. i was very tired, hence the shaky hand.
(everybody was tired and hungry too =P)

Marcus =D

oh and next time, remember to bring sunblock.
we were all super red after this trip.
must have copied from the prawns. =P

Hey people!!!=)
came by a short story today and it really kept me thinking...
what if heaven was install with voice mail???
enjoy=D

Voice Mail

Most of us have now learned to live with "voice mail" as a necessary part of
our daily lives. But have you ever wondered what it would be like if God decided to install voice mail? Imagine praying and instead of hearing God speaking to your heart you hear the following:

Thank you for calling Heaven.
For English, press 1.
For Spanish, press 2.
For all other languages, press 0.
Please select one of the following options:
Press 1 for Requests.
Press 2 for Thanksgiving.
Press 3 for Complaints.

I am sorry. All of our angels and saints are busy helping other sinners right now. However, your prayer is important to us, and we will answer it in the order it was received. Please stay on the line.

If you would like to speak to:

God, press 1.
Jesus, press 2.
Holy spirit, press 3.
If you would like to hear King David sing a Psalm while you are holding, press 4.

To find a loved one that has been assigned to Heaven, press 5, then enter his or her social security number, followed by the "pound" sign. (If you receive a negative response, please hang up and dial 666.)
For reservations at Heaven, please enter J-O-H-N, followed by the numbers
3-1-6 .

For answers to nagging questions about dinosaurs, the age of the earth, life on other planets, and where Noah's
Ark is, please wait until you arrive.

Our computers show that you have already prayed today. Please hang up and try again tomorrow. The office is now closed for the weekend to observe a religious holiday. Please pray again on Monday after
9:30 am .

If you are calling after hours and need emergency assistance, please contact your local pastor.

Thank you and have a heavenly day!

The Fisher of man's day
**********************************************************************
Breaking News: 12 April 2009
7 youths from Blessed Grace Church was found fishing at East Coast park today... The reporter can't understand what they are thinking as they catch the fish and released them at the end of it... Investigation in process, Please wait for reporter sherwynn to update us on this case...
Reported by: Andrew

**********************************************************************
Thank you, Reporter Andrew. Now back to the scene. Seven youths of Blessed Grace church were found fishing at the jetty at East Coast park. They had seemingly organised a fishing trip on this day. The onsite people are Aloysius, Serene, Matthew, Marcus, Nicholas Chua, reporter Andrew and myself. They started fishing in the early afternoon and ended late at night, around eight. When I got to the site, they were already casting off the lines, waiting for an unsuspecting prey to hook onto their line. Their ammo (chum/bait) was a loaf of bread. there was only six rod when i went there, so Aloysius and I went to get one more of them weapons(rods). When we reached the place of our artillery store(Marine Parade there) , we went to find out the rod weapon parts and found it. They did not let us off free, but at least the price was ok($69 for the whole thing, INCLUDING weights). We then scoured the rest of the place before leaving with a better ammunition than the loaves: prawns. After all these, we went back to HQ to find out that no one had caught a fish yet. I started to learn the basics of chumming and loading up to cast. the first cast was a total failure, I would say. the second cast was no better. My line crossed Serene's line, only with a difference: there was the FIRST fish of the day. All of us were soo happy that we did not realise the fish was dying. Good thing that Uncle Ah Chui was there to unhook it and let it survive.
After the first fish, much morale was raised and they started casting off again, except for Marcus. Where is he anyway? He caught the second fish! Only with a snag. the fish was not ensnared, Marcus pulled it out by its gut. Don't worry, he only did what a Marcus would do: scream around and keep saying sorry to the fish(lol). When interviewed, he told a story of the fish. the story goes like(If I can remember everyhing): The fish was swimming with its mum. Suddenly a piece of prawn dropped by its side. "Look! Prawn meat! but I'm not hungry... Hey... What the... There's a hook at my gut!!! Mum, help!!! AHHHHH!!! MUMMY!!!" *Gets dragged up to the shore to Marcus*. And that's the end of the little tale by Marcus. Good thing the fish survived, but it still died in the end. Poor fish...
We were still casting off our lines, and another one was caught! Well I'm not boasting, but its my me again. This time the fish survived long enough for Andrew to take a photo of it on the line and me ^^. the fish survived as well. Soon after Matthew pulled out a catfish. Poisonous little critter that was. Good thing no one was stung. As usual, it managed to survive. Approaching evening, many wranglers packed up and went home, but we stayed and pressed on. They looked on us and decided to give us their baits. The funny thing is, we ended up with more bait then when we first came.
Next catch was by Nicholas. but this catch was'n a fish. It was a sea slug. we were all stunned for a moment, but when he came running to us, of course, the natural reaction was to run. For some, it was scream and run at the same time(I don't thing I want to say names, it won't be too nice). they were trying to unhook the slug when Aloy just cut the line. the slug slithered on the floor and some were screaming around. Then one of us (I forgot who) used the foam box lid to flick the slug back. The next catch of fish was by Matthew again, this time it was a BIG one. Not HUGE, but big alright.at that time it was already late in the evening. we went casting off again. the second sea slug was caught by Serene and Matthew? Or is it Marcus? I'm not too sure. Still, we cut the line again and this time, the slug was not so fortunate. It came to a horrible demise. Though it is disgusting, I still feel sorry for it. I wasn't long before we packed up camp and leave for one thing: dinner(Okay I admit it was too dark to fish, but hey, why do they have night fishing? Ah well...).
Serene went home first. We were on our way to Mac when Marcus found a bird on the ground. Apparently it was injured. Poor birdy... Again Marcus played a role of a hero and got the bird out befor a cat could get it. Yay! But the bird did not like him(I wonder why...). Then he changed to the role of the BAD guy and meowed at the bird. well, he got a shocked then the bird sticked out its head and sqwaked at him (spelling not too sure). Well, it was very much suprising. we then headed on to Mac, after we stored it in a proper box used for hamsters. We planned that everytime the bird chirps, we would pretend that it was someone's phone. Well, it worked wonders.(Yeah, right) Skipping all the details, that was the whole day, with only two casualties (the fish and the sea slug). That is all for today. We hope you tune in next time to Breaking News.

Hey Peeps!!!
Today i came across three very wonderful and interesting stories.
Enjoy=D

What God can do with 57 cents
A sobbing little girl stood near a small church from which she had been turned away because it was "too crowded."

"I can't go to Sunday School," she sobbed to the pastor as he walked by.
Seeing her shabby, unkempt appearance, the pastor guessed the reason and, taking her by the hand, took her inside and found a place for her in the Sunday school class. The child was so happy that they found room for her, and she went to bed that night thinking of the children who have no place to worship Jesus.

Some two years later, this child lay dead in one of the poor tenement buildings. Her parents called for the kindhearted pastor who had befriended their daughter to handle the final arrangements.

As her poor little body was being moved, a worn and crumpled red purse was found which seemed to have been rummaged from some trash dump.
Inside was found 57 cents and a note, scribbled in childish handwriting, which read: "This is to help build the little church bigger so more children can go to Sunday School."

For two years she had saved for this offering of love. When the pastor tearfully read that note, he knew instantly what he would do. Carrying this note and the cracked, red pocketbook to the pulpit, he told the story of her unselfish love and devotion.

He challenged his deacons to get busy and raise enough money for the larger building.

But the story does not end there...

A newspaper learned of the story and published it. It was read by a wealthy realtor who offered them a parcel of land worth many thousands.
When told that the church could not pay so much, he offered to sell it to the little church for 57 cents.

Church members made large donations. Checks came from far and wide.
Within five years the little girl's gift had increased to $250,000.00--a huge sum for that time (near the turn of the century). Her unselfish love had paid large dividends.

When you are in the city of Philadelphia, look up Temple Baptist Church, with a seating capacity of 3,300. And be sure to visit Temple University, where thousands of students are educated.

Have a look, too, at the Good Samaritan Hospital and at a Sunday School building which houses hundreds of beautiful children, built so that no child in the area will ever need to be left outside during Sunday School time.

In one of the rooms of this building may be seen the picture of the sweet face of the little girl whose 57 cents, so sacrificially saved, made such remarkable history. Alongside of it is a portrait of her kind pastor, Dr. Russel H. Conwell, author of the book, "Acres of Diamonds"

Sans Unicode";">This was written by an 8-year-old, Danny Dutton of Chula Vista, CA, for his third-grade homework assignment. The assignment was to explain God. Wonder if any of us could do as well?"

One of God's main jobs is making people. He makes them to replace the ones that die, so there will be enough people to take care of things on earth.

He doesn't make grown-ups, just babies. I think because they are smaller and easier to make. That way He doesn't have to take up His valuable time teaching them to talk and walk. He can just leaves that to mothers and fathers.

God's second most important job is listening to prayers. An awful lot of this goes on, since some people, like preachers and things, pray at times beside bedtime. God doesn't have time to listen to the radio or TV because of this.

God sees everything and hears everything and is everywhere which keeps Him pretty busy. So you shouldn't go wasting His time by going over your Mom and Dad's head asking for something they said you couldn't have.

Atheists are people who don't believe in God. I don't think there are any in Chula Vista . At least there aren't any who come to our church. Jesus is God's Son. He used to do all the hard work like walking on water and performing miracles and people finally got tired of Him preaching to them and they crucified Him. But He was good and kind, like His Father and He told His Father that they didn't know what they were doing and to forgive them and God said "O. K."

His Dad (God) appreciated everything that He had done and all His hard work on earth so He told Him He didn't have to go out on the road anymore. He could stay in heaven. So He did. And now He helps His Dad out by listening to prayers and seeing things which are important for God to take care of and which ones He can take care of Himself without having to bother God.

Like a secretary, only more important. You can pray anytime you want and they are sure to help you because they got it worked out so one of them is on duty all the time.

You should always go to church on Sunday because it makes God happy, and if there's anybody you want to make happy, it's God. Don't skip church to do something you think will be more fun like going to the beach. This is wrong. And besides the sun doesn't come out at the beach until noon anyway.

If you don't believe in God, besides being an atheist, you will be very lonely, because your parents can't go everywhere with you, like to camp, but God can. It is good to know He's around you when you're scared in the dark or when you can't swim and you get thrown into real deep water by big kids.

But... you shouldn't just always think of what God can do for you. I figure God put me here and He can take me back anytime He pleases. And...that's why I believe in God.
