1. Pursue God - to be intimate with God
Deuteronomy 4:5-7 "...observe them carefully, for this will show your wisdom and understanding to the nations...surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people... the LORD our God is near whenever we pray to him"
Matthew 6:33 "But seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well"
Example: Joshua Joshua 1:7-8 "... and you shall be prosperous and successful..." - just by reading the Word of God
Example: Daniel Daniel 1:8, 15, 20 -when Daniel and his friends chose God first, God not only made them healthier, but also 10 times more intelligent
2. Pursue Wisdom - to be a wise man
Job 28:28 "...the fear of the LORD, that is wisdom and to shun evil is understanding"
Proverbs 9:10-11 "the fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. For through me, your days will be many, and years will be added to your life"
Psalms 111:5, 10
Example: King Solomon 2 Chronicles 1:7-12 "...ask for whatever you want me to give you" - ask for WISDOM, not wealth, fame, as God, in return, will give us His knowledge and wisdom
