1) Exodus 12:3, 6-7, 11-12 "Tell the whole community of Israel that on the tenth day of this month, each man is to take a lamb for his household..." -the Lamb is the Lord's Passover
2) Exodus 12:13 "The blood will be a sign for you on the house where you are; and when I see the blood, I will pass over you." -when the Holy Spirit came down to Israel
3) Exodus 12:25-27 "...It is the Passover sacrifice to the Lord, who passed over the houses of the Israelites in Egypt and spared our homes when he struck down the Egyptians..."

5) 1 Corinthians 5:7b "For Christ, our Passover Lamb, has been sacrificed." -the Israelites were not slaves to Pharoh, but slaves to Satan (including us, now)
SLAVES - bondage, hopelessness PASSOVER LAMB SONS - freedom, hope
6) 1 Corinthians 11:23 "...This is my body, which is for you; do this in rememberance of me." - when we eat the bread during Holy Communion
When we take up the bread, what does Jesus want us to remember about Him? [1] He is the complete, perfect, sinless Lamb of God - Exodus 12:5a "The animals you choose must be year-old males without defect..." - Exodus 12:46b "Do not break any of the bones." - John 19:31-33 they did not break off Jesus' legs --- the perfect body of God - 1 Corinthians 5:8b "... but with bread without yeast, the bread of sincerity and truth."
[2] He is the way back to God - Matthew 27:51a "at that moment the curtain of the temple was torn into two from top to bottom." - Hebrews 10:19-20 - John 14:6 "...I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."
